Intern
Invest your time in learning valuable skills at a Digital Media company that appreciates the finer things in life: love, joy, and chocolate cake. Dreamco® Media, Incorporated is a small design firm with big dreams. We are creative professionals who are focused on making a living doing enjoyable and challenging work. Our organization seeks artistic, responsible, intelligent, and fun people to assist us in our mission to make dreams come true (for those who can afford it).
The Top Four Reasons to Apply for Our Intern Program
- Talented people can become paid subcontractors
- We provide training and experience to sharpen your skills
- A variety of enjoyable job opportunities are available
- We rarely require you to wear a funny hat
A Great Program, But Not For All Species
We are currently accepting intern applications. Interns will assist with web site design, computer training, and publishing. Dreamco® is based in the Armory Park neighborhood of downtown Tucson, Arizona (map). Applicants should be computer-literate, motivated, and have a strong desire to learn and be challenged. Class credit may be available (though our program is not limited to students). Iguanas need not apply.
Compensation of The Gods
We greatly value our interns, and so we reward them for their efforts through our innovative Dreamco® Dollars program. For each hour worked, interns receive ten Dreamco® Dollars, a "virtual currency" redeemable for computer training and other services. For example, if an intern works 24 hours they receive $240 Dreamco® Dollars. The intern may then use these funds to pay for one of our computer training classes, including: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and Flash.
How Cool Interns Become Wicked-Cool Subcontractors
When positions open up, we wave our magic wands and turn interns who have mastered the appropriate skills into paid subcontractors. We tend to hire subcontractors from our pool of interns (assuming the pool has recently been cleaned).
Six More Reasons to Join Our Merry Band
Our intern program is very popular, perhaps even more popular than stinging nettles. Benefits of the program include:
- Real world experience
- A flexible work schedule
- A fun and respectful environment
- The chance to work at home, in the field, or at our studio
- A great work reference
- Occasionally, we have free cookies
